About Big Learning, Inc.
Big Learning, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children's school and life success through real-world, hands-on learning opportunities. We offer innovative after-school curriculum and workshops for families, kids' clubs, and after-school programs. We also offer free family activities and resources on our web site, BigLearning.org.
Dr. Karen Cole is our founder and exective director. She founded Big Learning in 2003, and incorporated it as a nonprofit in 2007. Before founding Big Learning, she was an senior educational researcher at the Institute for Research on Learning and Wested, both in California.
Throughout our history, we have developed and delivered smart, innovative educational activities that bring families together while supporting learning in school and beyond.
Big Learning, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
Big Learning is headquartered in Garrett Park, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.
